Disaster Recovery for Clients

We are required to have a plan in place and take steps to assure our RIA businesses will be able to continue in the event of a disaster.  No law or regulation says that our clients must do so, but common sense says “why not?” Recent events provide a strong motivation – Superstorm Sandy, Oklahoma tornadoes, Colorado wildfires, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and more – and these types of events will continue to happen, unfortunately. I know some folks who were directly and very adversely impacted by some of these events and chances are you do too. Rebuilding those lives takes a great deal of effort and having made plans in advance can help so much. What we are talking about is the information and basic items one needs to be up and running in our modern world. I have created a checklist, free to subscribers or anyone who elects to be added to the e-mail list for Mentor RIA Consulting (Contact Us).
